How's about visiting some nice bands we think are nice?

You can start with Belle & Sebastian. cos they're really nice. And we like them.

Also visit the 'lab, or Stereolab as sane people call them.

You can find the Aphex Twin at Warp-net and we suggest you do so.

Pavement have a new record out, and a nice shiny new website too.

Actually, let's kill a bunch of birds with one big stone, and point you in the direction of Matador home of more bands than we can mention - but we'd better say Railroad Jerk, Chavez, Helium, GBV (well, once upon a time), and some other poseurs.

On the subject of GBV, check out the full Guided By Voices website for a good time.

Another label you ought to check out is Chemikal Underground home of Magoo, Mogwai, and the Delgados amongst others....

We almost forgot the Grifters. How could we?

Once upon a time the Butthole Surfers spent their days scaring the bejesus out of everyone, including us. These days they're getting older but Gibby's still a livewire, and the Jack Officers opened for the BBE once in 1998. So check it out.

It's hard to say if the Breeders really still exist. But Steven was kind of almost on the absent next record.

Speaking of bands who haven't put anything out in a while, the next My Bloody Valentine record is lamentably still MIA, but we can keep on waiting, with extreme interest.

Finally, if you've got a spare twenty years to investigate the records, you might (I said might) want to check out the Billy Childish thing.

We'll add some more things later. Maybe, possibly, perhaps. But if that's really not enough (I mean, come on!) there's some huge lists of music links at Soundz and the definitive guide to artist homepages is, of course, the Ultimate Band List   UBL

Now, after that, you might want some record stores - so try these:

Other Music, Siren CD, Forced Exposure for all your far out shopping needs. Damn fine shops the lot of them.

Of course there's always the one and only Rough Trade for those UK hard to find things. And for fast service if yer in the UK and there's no time to shop.

And if none of that works for you, then you could probably resort to CD Now, which is rather big after all....

For yer gig tickets, try:

Ticketweb in the UK.

And, er, Ticketweb in the US.

The Lips are always doing stuff on the radio in the UK, lots for Radio 1 and especially the venerable John Peel. So check it out. Right about now...

Our other lovers over there are Xfm and GLR.

Course, web radio is getting bigger too. And Wayne was on one. Tripping Daisy's one actually. Check it out.

Real Audio is good for playing streaming audio files, although we don't really use RA. At the moment. So maybe you should check out QuickTime first?

Not that we're geeks or anything, but we did get some help in the programming department from IRT so you might like to check it out sometime. Maybe.

Some magazine stylee websites, and some newspapers and real magazines and stuff:

Kingwho is the brainchild of Migwire. And his brother Bill.

We already linked to his Lips site elsewhere, but this is Joe's place.

It's unexploded, but probably not that dangerous. It's fun though, so get yourself a Soul Grenade!

The Guardian keep being nice to the Lips, so now we're being nice to them.

Addicted To Noise is a bit of a premier kind of thing in this music e-zine kind of business.

These people are strange, but who are we to attempt to fathom Giant Robot?

Some people in the UK that seem to like the Lips - they claim Retroactive Baggage is "the premier Midlands music publication", whatever that means...

Finally check out Jimmy's Riddle
for some seriously exploratory music reviews.

Ooh, I forgot - have a look at Vibe.. it's cool and they're Lips-lovingly sensible too.
