Boombox Experiment No 6
Seattle 3 March 1998 (by Jason Fitzgerald - Showbox)
Seattle (No 6) and Portland (No 5) both came off well. Both were well attended,
with Portland at about 800+, and Seattle about the same.
(Not bad for shows that dont have a band "playing", so to speak).
The Seattle show had special guest operators in addition to some audience
members. The guests were:
Dave Dederer + Jason Finn (Presidents of the USA)
Steve Fisk (Pell Mell, Pigeonhed, + producer extrordinare)
Krist Noveselich (Nirvana, Sweet 75)
Jon Auer + Joe Bass (Posies)
Mark Arm + Steve Turner + Bob Whittaker (Mudhoney)
Roderick Romero (Sky Cries Mary)
Nick LaCotta (Seattle City Council member!)
Also, Gerard Schwarz, the conductor of the Seattle Symphony, accepted the
invitation but had a symphony that night! Oh well, I tried.
Anyway, the show was great (I think the best of the three). It was
extremely LOUD, which made it that much better. The song list
was the same as the other three shows. "Big 'ol Bug" and "Altruism" were standouts.
