Released on clear vinyl in a groovy hologram sleeve, this was a fantastic song from the epic In A Priest Driven Ambulance album. It has remained a live favourite to this day and it really does rock well - the guitar work is unreal and the compressed drum sound really creates an impacting sound.
The b-sides were recorded around the time of the album -
Lucifer Rising was also a live favourite at the
time with it's incendiary guitar dynamics turning a straight
forward rock song into something else entirely. Ma, I Didn't
Notice is a typical song of the time which didn't really fit in
the album anywhere but is still pretty great. Let Me Be It is a
beautiful song full of the greatest Lips longing feeling but built
around a great upbeat riff. The whistling on the song is the
perfect foil to the buzzing noise of the tune. |
