With his Grammy-nominated 1993 Warner Bros. Records debut album, they're all gonna laugh at you!, Adam Sandler broke sales records with one of the best-selling comedy albums in the history of the label. Now, with his latest release What The Hell Happened To Me?, Sandler is poised to break his own personal best with an inspired collection of skits, songs and explicit scatology.

Produced by Brooks Arthur (the man behind the boards for they're all gonna laugh at you!) and co-produced by Sandler, the new album features the runaway radio hit "The Chanukah Song," one of the most-requested songs ever on major radio stations across the nation, as well as such Sandleresque curiosities as "Ode To My Car," "Steve Polychronopolous," "Mr. Bake-o" and "Dip Doodle." The album also highlights special guests Frank Coraci, Jon Rosenberg, Judd Apatow, Allen Covert, Tim Herlihy, Ellen Cleghorne, Lisa Mordente and fellow Saturday Night Live alum Kevin Nealon on the hilarious "The Hypnotist."

Adam Sandler was born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Manchester, New Hampshire. His first brush with comedy was at age 17 when his brother encouraged him to go on stage spontaneously at a Boston comedy club. Until then, comedy had never entered his mind as a profession, but after his first appearance, he was hooked.

He later attended New York University, earning a degree in Fine Arts. While still in college, he continued to perform regularly in comedy clubs and universities throughout New York and shortly thereafter landed a coveted spot as part of the Saturday Night Live cast, first appearing in the 1990/91 season.

With SNL for five years, as both a writer and performer, Sandler gained national recognition creating a host of unique characters including "Cajun Man," "Opera Man," "Canteen Boy," "Herlihy Boy" and "the host of the 'Denise Show.'" He also performed memorable impersonations of Axl Rose and Eddie Vedder, and did guest spots on the popular "Weekend Update."



The above mentioned they're all gonna laugh at you! was released in September 1993 and immediately went on to receive a Grammy nomination, even as it made its unprecedented run up the charts, spending over 100 weeks on Billboard's Heatseekers listings alone. The album spawned the hit single "Lunchlady Land" as well as the popular video "Buddy."

At the same time, Sandler's film career kicked into high gear, starting with his appearance in Coneheads, followed by co-starring roles in Airheads and Mixed Nuts. Last year, Sandler starred in Universal's Billy Madison, a box office smash that Sandler co-wrote. Next up in the film arena for Sandler is his second Universal comedy, Happy Gilmore, which will be released this February. He will next co-star with Daymon Wayons in the action/comedy Bulletproof, scheduled to begin production this spring.

Meanwhile Sandler has become the hottest ticket on the comedy circuit, with a fervent fan base that sells out venues across the country. A sampling of audience enthusiasm for the comic can be heard on the live "The Chanukah Song" in which screaming fans almost drown out his performance.

Now comes What The Hell Happened To Me?, an album that introduces a host of new Sandler characters while continuing to maintain the element of complete, and completely hilarious, originality.
